If you liked the animation film My Friend Ganesha, then there is all probability that you will love its sequel that is slated to release on August 22. At least that is what the makers of My Friend Ganesha 2 are betting. The first part was a hit among children, who simply got infatuated by the westernized Ganesha.
The sequel, promises director Rajiv Ruia, is going to be a lot more fun. Providing just a little glimpse of what to expect, Ruia says that in My Friend Ganesha II the animated Hindu deity dons a modern appearance and speaks English flawlessly. ‘Now, please don't ask me to reveal the plot,’ requests Ruia.
The sequel of My Friend Ganesha has been produced by Baba Arts Limited, whereas Shringar Films will release the movie worldwide. The viewers will also see bhangra pop singer Mika in this movie. Ajhai Acharya of Baba Arts Limited remarks that it was massive popularity of 'My Friend Ganesha' which motivated inspired him to make the sequel.
Ajhai Acharya says, ‘The movie has been telecast 53 times on TV since its release in July last year. That itself is a proof of the fact that the concept was hit among children.’ Master Ali, Harsh Chhaya, Bhairavi Goswami, Suhasini Mulay, Sulbha Deshpande and Upasana Singh are among those who have acted in the sequel.
