Mister Foe Review
In the space of four features, David Mackenzie has established himself as a singular and frustratingly underrated talent. His films are as protean as those of Michael Winterbottom but, for some reason, his name is usually overshadowed by those of his cast. And in the case of his most artistically satisfying film, Young Adam, it wasn’t even those that took the column inches in the reviews, but the messy custard-and-ketchup sex scene.

His last film, Asylum, was a muted follow-up that thwarted the momentum which was building - had Hallam Foe arrived then, it would have done wonders for his profile, confirming Mackenzie as a director with a vision. Not to mention an eye for sexual provocation; here, Jamie Bell and Sophia Myles make a terrific couple, sparking a weird erotic charge, morbid but also riveting in the way such relationships can be.

Myles does well in such murky psychic waters. Her performance as Kate Breck is refreshingly complex; she’s a girl who knows what she wants and takes it, however selfish those desires. Similarly, Bell offers more than a pathetic foil, playing Foe with a strange, schizophrenic cockiness that surfaces, often unexpectedly, throughout the film.

The most striking aspect of Hallam Foe, however, is its upside-downness, its focus on the rooftops and nooks of Edinburgh’s Grassmarket to create Foe’s lonely kingdom. There’s something truly unsettling about the tiles and spires that gives Foe’s unhinged state of mind a kaleidoscopic beauty, a sense that the only way down is up, and, as the film’s strangely upbeat and cathartic ending suggests, vice versa.

The sole problem with Hallam Foe is its structure. Adapted from Peter Jinks’ novel, it feels like an adapted novel, coming to life during picaresque and sometimes hilarious scenes filmed in the Caledonian Hotel but faltering whenever Mackenzie returns to The Story of Foe and his neuroses and how they come to be vanquished.

It puts the film in good company, but although it worked for Fight Club, Hallam Foe’s bathetic you-met-me-at-a-strange-time-in-my-life coda might not satisfy those expecting something more hard-edged from a director whose past work suggests a willingness to go somewhere more original.

Movie:Hijack
Genre: Action, Thriller
Director: Kunal Shivdasani
Producer: Dinesh Vijan
Banner: Eros International
Music Director: Justin-Uday
Lyricist: Kumaar
Star Cast: Shiney Ahuja, Kaveri Jha, K. K. Raina, Esha Deol, Mona Ambegaonkar
Release Date: September 5, 2008

These days, it is being seen that new directors are experimenting with unusual scripts and leaving an impact on the audience. The latest one to follow this trend is Kunal Shivdasani, whose movie 'Hijack' released this Friday. Though one or two movies in the past have dealt with the theme of 'airplane hijack', this one's different, mainly because it is much more credible. Though the 'terrorism part' of the hijack is a much repeated one, it is the way it has been executed that makes all the difference.

The concept of 'terrorism' has an emotional connotation flowing along with it. 'Hijack' is a blend of real life incidents (IC-814 hijack) and fictional situations. At times, it also seems inspired, not 'copied', from Hollywood movies as well. However, there are certain flaws as well. The songs could have been avoided and unnecessary characters chopped off. The typical Bollywood stuff, of hero fighting villains alone, also got a bit boring. Still, the execution manages to cover most of these loopholes, allowing the movie to retain its thrill.

The first hour of the movie, though not a drag, is a bit lacking in pace. It is when 'Hijack' moves towards the second hour that you shift to the edge of your seat. The music is lousy, but the excellent background score makes up for it, to quite an extent. Jehangir Chowdhary's cinematography is excellent and you will not find any flaw with the way scenes have been captured. Allan Amin's stunts do not look over-the-board and gruesome bloodshed has also been spared. For a moderate budget movie, the locales as well as sets are excellent.

'Hijack' can be said to be one of the best performances of Shiny Ahuja so far. He carries his role with élan. The only problem was his styling, which made him look really untidy and shabby at places. Esha Deol, having only a few scenes in the movie, is not bad. K.K. Raina, as the terrorist who awaits his release, is impressive. Satyajeet and Mona Ambegaonkar also played their parts with conviction. All in all, Hijack is an engrossing movie and watching it in theater will definitely be 'worth the money'.

Miss Conception Movie Trailer

This misconceived U.K. entry in the ever-popular pregnancy-comedy genre centers on a posh Brit's preposterous mission to get knocked up.

The toplining Heather Graham has a daffy comic quality but mainly relies on cutesy mugging, much as the story rests on flimsy situations. A light touch keeps the film from being an ordeal, but the story's trajectory is as predictable as the setup is contrived.

The Blue Angel Films/Miromar Entertainment/Northern Ireland Screen/International Film Finance production is receiving a limited release from First Look Studios. It feels more like a small-screen distraction. It opens Friday, June 6.

The inanity begins when a fertility expert assures Georgina, 33, that she's about to enter early menopause and has precisely one egg left. As bad timing would have it, she has just kicked out her boyfriend (Tom Ellis) because he hadn't expressed the requisite eagerness to procreate. He even went so far as to smash his sister's ostentatiously displayed belly cast, a passive-aggressive move that marks the bland character's one sign of mental activity.

With her best friend, the baby-averse Clem (a scene-stealing Mia Kirshner), Georgina embarks on a harebrained scheme to capitalize on her one remaining chance for pregnancy. The plan includes crashing a funeral, looking for Mr. Goodbar in a nightclub and, as a last resort in the last-resort extravaganza, making a withdrawal from a sperm bank. Rather than push the satiric edge of the baby obsession, Camilla Leslie's script embraces the banal, treating pregnancy like a lotto jackpot with an adorable gurgling-and-cooing prize.

There's a latent intelligence in the dumb scenario that Graham and especially Kirshner tap into with crisp line readings. The film's tender but unsentimental view of female friendship rings true, but director Eric Styles doesn't make much else convincing.

Movie: My Sassy Girl
Genre: Comedy, Drama, Romance
MPAA Rating:Rated PG-13 for language, thematic material and some sexual content.
Duration: 1 hr. 32 min.
Starring: Elisha Cuthbert, Jesse Bradford, Austin Basis, Jay Patterson, Joanna Gleason,
Director: Yann Samuell
Producer: Guy Oseary, Jay Polstein, Mark Morgan, Paul Brooks
Distributor: Gold Circle Films
Release Date: August 26, 2008
Writer: Victor Levin, Kwak Jae-young based on novel by Kim Ho-sik

Synopsis:
Straight-laced Charlie Bellow (Jesse Bradford) has a perfectly predictable life. Great grades, great future, no risks. That is, until he meets Jordan Roark (Elisha Cuthbert), a compulsive girl who lives every moment on the edge. As Jordan teaches Charlie to loosen up and let go, Charlie finds himself falling helplessly in love even as his life spins out of control. But Jordan's carefree attitude masks a painful secret, and when it threatens to tear them apart, Charlie will have to show her that once destiny guides you to the one you want, it's up to you to hold on.

Movie Review:
My Sassy Girl is the latest product of Hollywood’s recent obsession with remaking Asian movies. And sadly, like its predecessors from Tinseltown, it fails to live up to the charm of the original.

Much of the appeal of Kwak Jae Young’s 2001 bittersweet romantic comedy hit resided in its exuberant female lead, Gianna Jun (otherwise known as Jun Ji-hyun). Much of the lack of appeal of Yann Samuel’s remake resides in its annoying female lead, Elisha Cuthbert, better known for her roles in 24 and Captivity.

Though some may say that such comparisons are unfair, they are inevitable considering the lack of imagination of Victor Levin’s screenplay. Not to say that it is not faithful to the original, but Levin transplants entire scenes from the original’s Korean setting to its current New York locale with mixed results.

A lot of what is lost in translation rests on the subversion of gender roles in traditionally male-dominated Korean society, most prominently when “sassy girl” orders “bumbling guy” around. Most of such scenes are preserved here, but somehow without their cultural significance, they are at best comedic, at worst inane.

The buck then rests on Cuthbert to play the domineering but ultimately endearing “sassy girl”. Unfortunately, Cuthbert has neither the cuteness nor sassiness of Jun. Her portrayal of upper-class New York girl Jordan Roark comes across more annoying than amusing. Even with its twist ending (don’t worry, no spoilers ahead), Cuthbert fails to win the hearts of audiences like Jun did.

Fortunately, Jesse Bradford fares better as the ordinary working-class simpleton Charlie Bellow whose life and love is turned upside down by the appearance of Roark. The problem is Bradford and Cuthbert lack sufficient chemistry to convince us that we are seeing “the first and last time” Charlie is falling in love as his character says.

My Sassy Girl marks French director Yann Samuell’s debut Hollywood film. It is also his sophomore effort after Love Me If You Dare, a similarly fairytale-esque love story of childhood sweethearts Julien and Sophie whose pranks start innocent and turn dangerous.

Samuell tries to stamp his mark on this film by using the same animated sequences and confectionery colours in some parts. Yet these parts are few and far in between, and though delightful, appear disjointed with the rest of the film.
As far as romantic comedies go, My Sassy Girl isn’t the worst of the lot. As far as remakes go, just like many of its kind, it disappoints on the merits of its much superior predecessor. Considering its direct to DVD fate in the States, My Sassy Girl really fares much better as a lazy Saturday-night home movie than a theatrical release.

Review

Story

ashtachemma Lavanya (Colors Swati) is a hardcore fan of hero Mahesh Babu. And her ambition is to marry hero Mahesh. But her heart is broken when Mahesh married Namrata Sirodkar. She lowers her expectations and decided to marry somebody who has ‘Mahesh’ in his name. Anand (Srinivas Avasarala) is a lanky neighbor of Lavanya and he is bugged with ‘Pokiri’ songs played in loud volume by Lavanya. He decides that the only way to get rid of noise from her house is to hook her up with a good looking boy with the name Mahesh. And he finds a handsome guy called Mahesh (Nani). The rest of the story is all about the comedy of errors originated due to the Mahesh obsession of Lavanya.

Artists Performance

ashta chemmaSrinivas Avasarala: A real actor is the one who adds more to the table than what it is with his performance. Srinivas Avasarala is a born actor and he added 25% to the output of the film with his performance. Be it dialogue delivery, comedy timing, minute expressions or body language. He should seriously consider packing his bags and finding the next available flight to Hyderabad as Telugu film industry is desperately looking for such fine actors. He is a complete delight to watch. Srinivas Avasarala is selected for this film through a talent hunt conducted by Mohana Krishna Indraganti in idlebrain.com.

ashtachemmaColors Swathi:

Her character in this film as an obsessed fan of Mahesh Babu is like a natural extension to her hilarious portrayal of girl in love with Venky in AMAV. She is completely natural and is herself while doing the role of Lavanya. She brought out lot of mischief and child-like stupidity that is needed for the character which her histrionics. But fans of Swathi will get little disappointed in the second half because her footage is relatively less compared to the first half.

ashta chemmaNani: Nani has sharp features, nice Telugu diction and amazing confidence levels. Doing a role that requires the attributes of Mahesh Babu is a challenge for a newcomer. And Nani comes up with a fabulous performance. He has a promising future if he selects the roles carefully.

ashtachemmaOthers:

Bhargavi is good as the traditional village girl. Jhansi has done a variety role that reminds us of the harmless and witty mother-in-law character in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’. Tanikella Bharani and Hema are adequate. The guy who played the server character in ‘Amrutam’ TV serial is fun to watch in this film.

ashta chemma Story – screenplay – direction:

Story of the film is simple, yet complicated. This story is based on a play written by Oscar Wilde. Most of the film revolves around name confusion. A film like this needs an interesting screenplay to sustain the attention of he viewers. Mohan Krishna Indraganti succeeds in giving us a film that sustains the interest levels throughout by injecting the necessary twists at the right time. Direction of the film is good. The narrative style using which he introduced characters is brilliant. The director is supposed to take the comedy in the film to the next level during the last half-an-hour of the film where pieces fall into the place. Though the twists were well-placed in the last half an hour, the director could not get more laughs towards the climax.

ashta chemma Other departments

Music by Kalyani Malik is nice. The visuals and situations in the film add more to the music. Dialogues written in the film are witty and most of the time impromptu (except for the last half an hour where the dialogues are lengthy). Cinematography by PG Vinda is nice. The vintage song should have been done in black and white. Editing is nice. The product looks superior in terms of visuals and sound. Producer Ram Mohan should be commended for keeping faith on the director and on this genre.

ashta chemmaAnalysis:

First half of the film is really good. The narration is little slow in the second half. The climax is interesting, but a better handled one would have added lot of the value to the film. The plus points of the film are casting and comedy quotient. The director and the producer’s decision for choosing a particular genre and sticking to it without diluting with formula commercial ingredients deserve applause. Probably Ashta Chemma is the first Telugu film where the entire story revolves around a real film hero. And it shows the kind of craze Mahesh Babu has in the hearts of people (especially girls). On a whole, Ashta Chemma makes a good viewing

Saroja Movie Photo Gallery

Starring: S.P.B. Charan, Siva, Premji Amaran, Vaibhav, Kajal Agarwal, Nikitha, Prakash Raj, Jayaram

Direction: Venkat Prabhu

Music: Yuvan Shankar Raja

Production: Amma Creations

Rating: 3.5/5

The second movie of a first-hit director is always susceptible to doubts: was the first time just a flash in the pan? Will the second prove to be a jaw-tearing yawn? Will all the hype surrounding it really work? And in 99% of the cases, the film does turn out to be a dud.

Once in a while, though, you come across a movie that not only keeps pace with the director's initial attempt but even manages to raise itself up a small notch. Amma Creations' Tamil film, Saroja, Venkat Prabhu's next offering, is one such movie.

Taking its name from the hit song, Saroja Saamaan Nikalo from Prabhu's first movie, Chennai 600028, this movie manages to be an almost perfect mix of friendship, banter, suspense, thrills, action and a logical screenplay triumphing on top of everything else. And that is saying a lot.

You may be forgiven in the beginning for thinking this a slow movie, considering the relaxed way the director takes you through the works: first, there are random shots of a tanker speeding along the national highway from Orissa, then there's a near incomprehensible song Cheeky Cheeky which makes no sense at first, but then, gradually fits into the general scheme of things.

But the fun starts with the introduction of Jagapathi Babu (S P Charan), Ganesh Kumar (Premgi Amaren), Ajay Raj (Shiva) and Ram Babu (Vaibhav), all firm friends -- but not since childhood or anything, since they still address each other as 'Sir.' (Jagapathi and Ram Babu are brothers as well.)

When you first meet Ajay, he happens to be mouthing inane lines, after which you discover that he's a TV serial actor -- complete with marvelous sound tracks and slow-motion scenes -- and things abruptly make sense. It's a little unclear what the rest do -- except Jagapathi Babu, who is married to a nagging wife and a daughter for whom he comes up with weird science projects.

The banter and relaxed camaraderie between them is infectious as they rib each other about life, love (Ajay is engaged to a vapid beauty Pooja, played by Kajal Agarwal whom Ram Babu fancies at one point), crack jokes at each other's expense -- and then bang!

They then decide that they're going to watch a cricket match live in Hyderabad. As preparations start in full-swing for the trip, at the very same moment, things are going very wrong at businessman Viswanath's (Prakashraj) household -- his daughter Saroja (Vega) is missing.

The police, headed by Ravichandran (Jayaram) are on the hunt, while our happy-go-lucky team sets out, meantime, for their match, having a gala time in their little 'caravan.'

Time slots appear at appropriate points, indicating what happens when.

But the proper story begins when our four friends, about to enter Hyderabad, are forced to stop midway; a tanker lorry from Orissa has crashed, and there's an accident of catastrophic proportions. More banter ensues as everyone discusses the best way to get to watch the match, or return home. Eventually, one guy decides that he knows a short-cut to Hyderabad, and the four merrily go into the backwoods. And there their problems start.

As twilight falls, things that looked normal during the day start assuming eerie proportions. You have to hand it to the cinematographer Sakthi Saravanan: the night shots are perfect, and it's as though you really are seated in the van along with them. As talk progresses on weird things like encountering ghosts on the highway, wham! The van has hit someone. There's a body on the roadside.

It might look briefly like I Know What you did Last Summer but its not. From here on, its mostly a fast-paced ride: unwittingly, our friends have wandered onto acres and acres of a manufacturing unit, the hideout of a whole gang of gun-toting villains headed by Sampath (Sampath) and his moll Kalyani (Nikitha, who looks cute).

The charm of the story is that it's not the proverbial Tamil cinema's tried and trusted hero-beats-up-100-villains tale; yes, there are a lot of beatings, but the screenplay ensures that it's very natural. There's no artificial morphing of heroism -- the protagonists are ordinary men who use their brains and get out of tough situations exactly the way four normal guys would.

S P B Charan is the brains and common-sense guy of the team; Vaibhav is perfect as the rugged but courageous bro; Shiva is hilarious as the TV artist who looks vaguely familiar (watch out for the scenes when he runs into the villains).

Premgi Amaren, unsurprisingly, adds to the comic element with his impromptu monologues, comments and digs. He's hilarious when he falls in love with every girl he sets eyes on; even the kidnapped one.

Prakashraj plays his regulation businessman; his role is only briefly dwelt with as it's a brief one.

Jayaram seems to love walking away from the conventional mode. Sampath, with his rugged good looks, takes away the villain beef-cake.

But the star, clearly, is Venkat Prabhu who walks away with honours for an honest, simple and intelligent screenplay and writing that pulls you in and keeps you in your seat right until the end. At no point does it get incomprehensible, or patronizing. And the twists are interesting. Better yet, they're not standard Tamil cinema which is a relief.

Kudos to stunt director Selva for understanding the situation and making sure there are no extraneous dishoom-dishoom pieces. Art director Videsh has done a commendable job, bringing the abandoned factory ground to life. One minor irritant though, is the special effects while editing: they give you a headache in the scenes with Prakashraj and Jayaram.

You can generally make out when a music director is having fun on a project: Yuvan Shankar Raja has understood the tone of the film and set out to provide a musical mix of old songs that appear whenever the scene warrants it. Kodaana Kodi is your typical vamp-song that makes you want to jive; Dosthu bada dosthu is likely to become the next anthem for friendship with is fun and frothy lyrics. Nimirndhu Nil is filled with adrenaline and comes at the right time.

Saroja might be a bit slow-paced, as opposed to wannabe-whizzing movies but it's logical, fun and actually makes sense. In fact the film rocks!

Bottom Line: Saroja Rocks!!!!

Music Director: Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy
Lyricist: Javed Akhtar
Cast: Farhan Akhtar, Prachi Desai, Nicolette Bird, Purab Kohli, Luke Kenny, Arjun Rampal, Shahana Goswami, Koel Purie
Release Date: 29th August 2008
Two words for 'Rock On!!' - 'it rocks'! Farhan Akhtar once made his directorial debut with 'Dil Chahta Hai', which was a smash hit. Now, he has made his acting debut with 'Rock On!!' and the film will definitely be a blockbuster. Rock On is a movie not only about rock bands and music, it is about relationships; it is about friendship. Abhishek Kapoor definitely deserves applause for handling the movie so well, while the actors need to be appreciated for giving a splendid performance.

Through Rock On, Abhishek Kapoor has beautifully captured the essence of relationships i.e. how sensitive they are and how they can get very much complicated. Though there are some instances in which you will feel that the pace is a bit slow, but the direction, the acting, the execution, the story - all make up for it. While the narrative is compelling, the music is just perfect! Though some of the numbers are of the typical 'rock' variety, there are a few that will be unanimously liked by all.

Right from cinematography to screenplay to dialogues, everything about Rock On!! is commendable. As far as performances go, Farhan Akhtar has made an excellent debut and exhibits rare maturity for a first-timer. The other debut actor of the movie, Prachi Desai, is also commendable and does complete justice to her role. Shahana Goswami, yet another newcomer, is definitely praiseworthy. Rock On will be one of the best performances of Arjun Rampal, underplayed to perfection. Luke Kenny is very good, while Purab Kohli is hallarous. All in all, Rock On is one of the movies you should watch in a multiplex.

Pineapple Express Movie Review and Watch Online

Movie: Pineapple Express

Director : David Gordon Green
Genre : Comedy
Running time: 112 minutes
Rated: R
Cast : Seth Rogen, James Franco, Danny R. McBride, Kevin Corrigan, Craig Robinson, Gary Cole, Rosie Perez, Ed Begley Jr.
Release Date : 6 August 2008

In its gleefully befogged first hour, “Pineapple Express” seems to be onto something new: It’s a marijuana comedy that keeps shuffling genres, like a stoned blackjack dealer. James Franco is blissfully funny as Saul, the supplier who finds himself running for his barely cognizant life with steady customer Dale, played by Seth Rogen. Dale’s a 25-year-old dating a high school senior. (He proudly sports a high school girl’s wristwatch.) They’re running because Dale witnessed a drug-related murder and then dropped a precious joint at the scene of the crime. Unsure whether they’re in a comedy or a drama, Gary Cole and Rosie Perez play the ruthless criminals who want the witness dead. The film’s title refers to a particularly rare and exquisite brand of weed.

At its sharpest, the script by Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who co-wrote “Superbad,” recalls what made “Superbad” worth seeing: the sidewinding conversational riffs, the why-am-I-laughing? wordplay. When Dale explains to his dealer that he’s a process server, he replies, “You’re a servant? Like, a butler?” As written, that line could go either way, but Franco—fully invested in this doper’s doper—makes it sing. It’s tempting to say Franco knocks such stupid retorts out of the park, but that would imply a certain degree of focus and drive utterly lacking in Saul. Not since the cinematic cannabis heyday of Jeff Spicoli (“Fast Times at Ridgemont High,” 1982) and “Withx nail & I” (1987) has a fully baked stoner come to such worthy comic life on-screen.

Then, around the midpoint, “Pineapple Express” falls apart and keeps falling, and the comedy, spiced with considerable, unevenly effective violence in that first hour, goes out the window, and in comes all the gore and the bone-crunching. The director is David Gordon Green, who made one of my favorite films this year, “Snow Angels.” His work (which includes the poetic “George Washington”) has never been easily confined to one category or mood. But there’s probably not a director alive who could make sense of this script’s queasy blend of jokes and slaughter. Green shoots the fight sequences with rough edges and hand-held realism intact, and the realism is ... well, real. An early smackdown between Rogen and Danny McBride’s belligerent idiot Red ends with the trashing of a perfectly good apartment; the scene grinds on well past its usefulness, and the injuries grow more wince-inducing, and before long you’re thinking back on “Freebie and the Bean,” another comedy that kept morphing into an accidental and deliberately acrid action picture.
Trailer

For all that, Franco’s on-screen rapport with Rogen is a fine thing. Certain lines keep coming back to me, lines that could’ve come only from truly talented writers. “Hey! I can see through my leg hole!” is one; Franco says it after he kicks through his own windshield during a vehicular chase sequence. Also, there’s a throwaway bit with Franco attempting to buzz Rogen into his apartment that approaches perfection—the quintessence of pot humor, honoring the tradition of the “Dave’s not here” routine (Cheech & Chong, for the uninitiated).

“Pineapple Express” could care less about perfection; its mood swings and genre change-ups are deliberately messy. Few comedies recently have started so well and ended so poorly. Whether that first half is enough is entirely up to your receptivity to another pair of jolly Judd Apatow-sanctioned boy-men, taking time to smell the roses even as people are trying to kill them.

Movie: God Tussi Great Ho

Genre: Comedy, Romance
Director: Rumi Jaffrey
Producer: Afzal Khan
Banner: Shaboo Arts
Music Director: Sajid-Wajid
Cast: Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Dalip Tahil, Sanjay Mishra, Bina Kak, Manisha Koirala, Rukhsar, Sohail Khan, Satish Kaushik
Release Date: 15th August 2008

If God’s ever using His day of rest to grasp up on the latest movies and happens to fall upon “God Tussi Great Ho”, hope He doesn’t get any ideas. Apart from may be to strike writer turned director Rumi Jaffery down with a giant thunderbolt, that is.

Having seen his “serious” work meet a more or less lukewarm reception, Jaffery in his debut directional venture seems simultaneously obnoxious and overly sentimental comedy. The inevitably antics of Salman Khan with little or no expressions of Priyanka Chopra, the film invites terms as ‘ plagiarized’ or on a softer note ‘inspired’ by 2003 Jim Carrey’s comedy flick Bruce Almighty ( though director flatly denied the resemblance). No, if you wondering that are all, wait! God Tussi… captures a shadow of 70s Yeh Hai Zindagi ( Sanjeev Kumar).

Arun( Salman Khan), a dejected and frustrated young man ( he is no mean look young even in silver screen) laments against God for his miserable life. God Amitabh Bachchan (you may wonder why he had to take clothes from Morgan Freeman wardrobe) appears before him in human form and endowes Arun with divine powers. With all his divine power, Arun tries to straight up his life but he is after all human and to his horror, all the decisions goes against him.

Performance wise Salman Khan with his boyish antics plays his part convincingly. His loud yet lovable acting touches audience heart. One may wonder what is Priyanka Chopra doing in the film? Amitabh Bachchan with his as usual aura is good enough to impress audience. In fact no other actor comes to your mind that can play God in white suit. Rajpal Yadav should stop being stereotypical, otherwise he is good. But the show is stolen by Anupam Kher, who resplendently goes well with his role.
